It includes the <strong>Reggia and other buildings from \u2018700<\/strong>, characterised by their timeless charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You would <strong>take a walk in a green oasis surrounded by serenity, art and poetry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, we will look at <strong>how to reach the museum and the wood from Napoliving<\/strong>, our hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to reach Real Bosco di Capodimonte<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From our <strong>rooms in Napoliving<\/strong>, you could choose to <strong>reach Museo di Capodimonte and its wood<\/strong> <strong>on foot<\/strong>, by walking on <strong>via Santa Teresa degli Scalzi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is <strong>4 km away<\/strong>, so <strong>your walk would take an hour<\/strong>. This could be an enjoyable alternative, however you should also consider that <strong>the road is uphill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also <strong>3 cultural routes to reach Bosco di Capodimonte<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>\u201cI Due Musei\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 around 2 km long \u2013 it connects Capodimonte to the National Archeological Museum, by going through Ponte della Sanit\u00e0, Catacombe di San Gennaro and Scale del Niccolini;<\/li><li><strong>\u201cO\u2019 Presepio\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 around 2 km long \u2013 it starts from Porta San Gennaro, by going through Vergini, Sanit\u00e0 and then the hill, by walking on Salita Capodimonte;<\/li><li><strong>\u201cIl Moiariello\u201d <\/strong>\u2013 around 2 km long \u2013 it starts from former Caserma Garibaldi in Via Foria and it ends at Porta Grande, by walking on Moiariello.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You should consider also these paths are uphill<\/strong>, so if you have <strong>children<\/strong> or if <strong>you do not enjoy walking long distances<\/strong>, we recommend you <strong>choose different options<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Navetta Shuttle Capodimonte<\/strong>: from Piazza Trieste e Trento, it reaches Museo di Capodimonte in 22 minutes, and it leaves every hour;<\/li><li><strong>Car<\/strong>: take the motorway and then the exit Capodimonte;<\/li><li><strong>Underground<\/strong>: take Linea 1 from Universit\u00e0 \u2013 the stop near our rooms \u2013 towards Piscinola, and stop at Museo. From there, you would need to take a few buses. In any other case <strong>the ticket is<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u20ac10 for people affiliated with San Carlo and for people who own Carta Freccia;<\/li><li>\u20ac8 for people aged between 18 and 24 years;<\/li><li>\u20ac6 during free Sundays and any other day of free entrance.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After your visit at <strong>Museo<\/strong>, you must <strong>take a walk in the Wood<\/strong>. It will lead to <strong>unexpected natural and historical wonders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s find out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Real Bosco di Capodimonte: historical garden and public park<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Real Bosco di Capodimonte <\/strong>first was a <strong>hunting reserve owned by Carlo di Borbone<\/strong>, and it <strong>extends for 134 hectares around the Reggia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It was designed in 1734 by architect Ferdinando Sanfelice<\/strong>. It is distributed on <strong>boulevards<\/strong> lined with <strong>400 plant species<\/strong> which were planted throughout 2 centuries. They also include <strong>17 historical buildings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The architect imagined <strong>dividing the wood into 2 sections<\/strong>: the <strong>Garden around the Reggia<\/strong> and the <strong>Wood for hunting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the present time, <strong>Real Bosco di Capodimonte <\/strong>includes <strong>4 main areas<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Giardino Paesaggistico<\/strong>: the area right around the Reggia, where you would find the panoramic viewpoint overlooking the city and the Gulf, and the spectacular Fountain from sculptor Antonio Belliazzi;<\/li><li><strong>Giardino Anglo-Cinese<\/strong>: in this area, you would find rare exotic plants, such as a camphor tree, a Taxodium, a eucalyptus, some camellias, a Lebanese cedar, and a tea tree;<\/li><li><strong>Giardino Tardo Barocco<\/strong>: the wood has various entrances, \u2018Porta di Mezzo\u2019 entrance brings you to the Giardino Barocco. From the opening semicircle, 5 boulevards branch out, decorated with holm oaks, limes, and maples;<\/li><li><strong>Giardino Paesaggistico Pastorale<\/strong>: on the north side of the Giardino Tardo Barocco, you would find a pastoral landscape, with hills and meadows.
